THE WHEEL OF TIME SERIES by ROBERT JORDAN

I bought these books over a three month period.  Finding all the twelve titles that I have while looking though shelves and stacks of thrift books in a number of second hand book shops all throughout the metro.  For me, Robert Jordan has created an epic saga of enormous proportion, inventing histories and characters that are worthy of being alive.

  • New Spring (Prequel)
  • The Eye of the World (1)
  • The Great Hunt (2)
  • The Dragon Reborn (3)
  • The Shadow Rising (4)
  • The Fires of Heaven (5)
  • Lord of Chaos (6)
  • A Crown of Swords (7)
  • The Path of Daggers (8)
  • Winter's Heart (9)
  • Crossroads of Twilight (10)
  • Knife of Dreams (11)
I still lack the other books in the series.  Book 14 ends the saga.

MORTAL INSTRUMENTS/INFERNAL DEVICES by CASSANDRA CLARE

My favorite series among my collection.  It is an urban YA fantasy about a group of Shadowhunters that fight the demons that plague the world.  A love story cum action novel about angels, demons and monsters it is truly an addicting read.  Can't wait for the MI Book 4, City of Fallen Angels out in April and ID Book 2, Clockwork Prince out in August.

  • City of Bones (Mortal Instrument Book 1)
  • City of Ashes (MI 2)
  • City of Glass (MI3)
  • Clockwork Angel (Infernal Devices Book 1)

SANDMAN by NEIL GAIMAN

Known to some as the prince of stories, Neil Gaiman has created a fantastical world centered on the character of the Prince of Dreams, Sandman or Morpheus.  A collection of stories all relating to the dreamworld and how it affects the characters that inhabits each sub-story, collectively it is the story of dreams and how we all are inside our subconscious.  Dark, funny and totally absorbing, Sandman is a work of art.

  • Preludes & Nocturnes
  • The Doll's House
  • Dream Country
  • Season of Mists
  • A Game for you
  • Fables & Reflections
  • Brief Lives
  • World's End
  • The Kindly Ones
  • The Wake
  • Endless Nights
*I also have a stand alone, The Dream Hunters

TALES OF CHRESTOMANSI by DIANNE WYNNE JONES

Wow! That's all I can say for this collection.  The Chrestomansi is a sort of title for the most powerful wizard of intersecting dimensions.  For those who has not read this, its time you look for the copy of any of the books in the series since all of them are semi-stand alone.  If  I did not know better, I'll bet Harry Potter and his entire universe was based on this series.

GRACELING by KRISTIN CASHORE

A great read.  Totally love how it has its own brand of fantasy and how the characters were truly developed that you can almost be certain they are true.
